About
FOUR PAWS International rescues big cats, bears, and elephants from abusive captivity (circuses, roadside zoos, and private ownership) and rehabilitates them in large sanctuaries. They also campaign against wildlife exploitation globally.
Location & Availability
Volunteer roles are offered in South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Sanctuary places often fill well in advance, so check each role’s page for availability.
What to expect
Sanctuary places fill early: LIONSROCK is fully booked for 2026 and FELIDA's volunteer group is full. Campaign volunteering in Germany requires German. Most roles involve no direct animal contact.
